If you're a teacher, you can be sneaky about your affair with an underage student, or you can be like counselor Melody Ybona Gawliu and make it easy for the cops. How? According to authorities, other teachers at El Camino High School in South San Francisco, California reported Gawliu, 24, after she reportedly brought balloons to school for the girl’s 17th birthday. When police investigated, also found nude photos of the girl on Gawliu’s phone as well as a text message from the budding teacher's aide telling the girl to tell authorities that nothing happened between them. With that much evidence against her, Gawliu pleaded no contest to one count of oral copulation with a minor in return for no more than a year in jail. On the plus side, she will not have to register as a sex offender, but should be considered "hot and dangerous." (Okay, we made that last part up, but from the picture it seems like a logical conclusion.)

I'm a guy, so on the surface this sounds hot. That said, it's BS that if this were a male, he'd be in jail and have to register as a sex offender ... regardless of consent between the two.

Funny how when the women are offenders its sex, oral copulation and no sex offender. When it's men it's rape, monsters, and sex offenders list (even if it's for peeping) There's a double standard. She should be punished just as harshly or the what constitutes consetual sex should be re-examined. Either this double standard is wrong.
She's not that hot, and should be viewed as any other predator: a parasite.

The real question here is how the police got hold of her cell phone to find the photos that convicted her? Surely someone's suspicion isn't enough evidence for a judge to issue a search warrant? And what kind of busy body would make the effort to tattle on her in the first place. The police should have enough sense to ignore reports of this nature, not bully girls into showing them her cell phone and incriminating themselves. The officers in charge of this investigation ought to be ashamed of themselves.
